About Me

I've been machine-sewing since 2011 and making stitches by hand since 2013. I live in Brisbane, Australia with my husband and two children, a girl and a boy. I love experiences I can get lost in, such as epic music, video games, and fantasy books.
A friend recently described me as "marching to the beat of my own drum" which is pretty accurate except I'd add that I have no sense of rhythm. :P

I've taught myself to sew and quilt with the help of the internet, the amazing teachers at Craftsy,  many beautiful books, and a great deal of trial and error. I am the sum of all these experiences, and the way I work is all the best bits and pieces of information I've learned all mashed up into my own way of doing things.

I'm still learning all the time and discovering new things. About sewing, and about myself. I believe the best kind of journey is about the journey itself more than the destination
